Agloco Looks Dead

" I sent an email off to the founder of AGLOCO to find out if they were packing it in. I never got a reply. However, I received this email from the development team today.

Dear John,

We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1@live.com.

We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.

Agloco Growing Pains

As many of you know, there were some challenges with the initial download of the Viewbar. Guess what happens when everyone attempts to download the Viewbar at once? That's right... Server overload.

So I just received an update from Agloco's Dan Jorgensen on the situation.

"The initial rush of excitement for the Viewbar release was so strong that our increased website congestion meant many Members had trouble getting through to download their Viewbar. We have fixed all that.

TO DOWNLOAD YOUR VIEWBAR, NOW simply go to third party download site - http://www.tucows.com/preview/513386 and click the "Download Now" button.

When prompted, select a location in the country closest to you for faster downloading. The Viewbar is also available for download on each Member's account page after logging in.

FORGOTTEN YOUR AGLOCO ACCOUNT INFORMATION - NO PROBLEM. GO TO https://www.agloco.com/web/guest/forgetinfo and use the email address we sent this email to in order to retrieve your account information.

The AGLOCO technical team has also improved the Viewbar since it first became available. This updated version is the one now available for download. If you had trouble installing or using the Viewbar at first, now is a great time to try again. (If you have a working Viewbar it automatically upgraded to this new version and you do not need to download a new one."

Agloco Viewbar Released - Kind Of

Well, I received my email from Agloco last night, letting me know that the Viewbar is ready for download. I tried going to the site, and not surprisingly, I couldn't. The servers at Agloco just couldn't handle the load of thousands of members trying to access and download the Viewbar at once.

I attempted another download today, and while I made it to the site, the download button was missing. Who knows? It may take a week to sort this out.

On a bright note, I continue to increase referrals. There are 24 in my network now! That puts me in the top 7.99% of all members with referrals. If you'd like to join up, and start earning cash by surfing the net, do so here.

Agloco Scam Update

Well, I see the Agloco blog has put out another post about the viewbar release, which disposes some who claim the Agloco scam is real.

I read an interesting point that looked at the notion of Agloco being a scam. They didn't think it was, but I found this excerpt interesting, "Now, here’s the knee slapper: Agloco will convert these ‘hour units’ not into cash but into shares. But Agloco is a private company in start-up mode; has no public shares to distribute; is not profitable; hasn’t even released a product; and its founders failed the first time they tried this venture (what they lack in creativity, I suppose, they make up in persistence). Furthermore, according to SEC regulations, Agloco can not distribute unregistered shares to the public. While the ability of Agloco to produce and distribute value hinges on being able to going public, it’s ironic that the least amount of attention has been paid to this point."

An Agloco scam is probably not in the works, just a plan that will have the average Joe struggling to make money. I'm thinking there are better opportunities out there.

Agloco Viewbar Update

Looks like the Agloco Viewbar is on it's way soon. Here's the scoop from an email I reveived. 'We will be releasing the AGLOCO Viewbar software soon and want to update Members on how things will work when it is released.

Each Member will get an email informing them that their Viewbar is available. It will contain detailed instructions on the download, which will be done from the agloco.com website. Members will be invited to download in groups of 50,000 a day for a two week period, with Members contacted in the order in which they signed up.

Shortly before the first set of download emails go out, you will receive an email notice that the AGLOCO website will be ‘out of service’ for a few hours – this is necessary for us to move the Viewbar download system from the test server to the main servers.

Also, please be aware of the following:

1. AGLOCO Hours: You will accrue hours in your AGLOCO Member account (current maximum is five direct hours a month). Hours are earned during active surfing on the Internet. The Viewbar has a green light on it that notifies the Member when it is accruing time. Your referrals’ surfing will accumulate hours for you at a 25% rate, meaning if one of your referrals surfs for the maximum five hours you will get 1.25 (0.25 x 5) hours credited to your total referral hours. You can only get credit referral hours up to the amount you directly surf (meaning if you surf 3 hours but a referral surfs 4, you will only get credit for the first 3 of your referral’s 4 hours). AGLOCO accrues these hours each month and also has a cumulative total of all hours earned. These hours are what AGLOCO will use to calculate cash and other distributions. The Viewbar contains a one click inactive button which turns it off and removes it from your screen at any time.
2. Initial Release for Windows: The initial Viewbar release will be for Windows Vista, XP, 2000 Pro and 2000 Server. Later, we will release Mac and Linux versions of the Viewbar. Until that occurs, Mac/Linux users can still log onto any supported Windows computer and accumulate their five hours. The Viewbar works with browsers IE 5.5 or higher and Firefox 1.5 or higher.
3. Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financials and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.
4. Multiple Users on One Viewbar: As stated previously, multiple Members may use the same Viewbar on the same computer. Only one Viewbar download will be necessary as the Viewbar software will enable each Member to log in and log out using their AGLOCO Member ID# and password (obviously, only one Member ID# can be accumulating Viewbar hours at any one time). Please note, only one Viewbar is allowed on a screen at a time.
5. One-Time Download: The v1.0 Viewbar is purposely simplistic and minimalist, but it also comes equipped with an automatic self-updating feature. Once you download the Viewbar for the first time, your Viewbar will be seamlessly updated with new additions and features as they become available. These future features include the direct cash back feature when a Member purchases items on sponsor site and a portion of the purchase price is added back to the Member’s AGLOCO account (as described on the Official AGLOCO Blog at http://blog.agloco.com/index.php/post35/ . )

Where's the Viewbar?

'That is the number one question on everyone’s mind. AGLOCO has stated that the Viewbar was slated for release between April 2 - 16. Now they’re saying it’s “days away.”'

Hmmm. A delay on the Agloco viewbar doesn't bode well in my opinion.

Here's what the Agloco blog is saying about the situation, 'let me give you today’s Viewbar update. As mentioned previously, our delaying item is getting our partners’ ad servers to ‘talk’ correctly to the Viewbar. It requires programming on both their servers and our Viewbar to integrate correctly - not as simple as just signing up for Google AdSense . After that is solved the Viewbar download area will need to be transferred from our test servers to our main site to handle the volume, where we will test it again (when this occurs our main site will be down, but we will give a warning before that occurs). Until the ‘glitches’ in the ad server integration are solved I cannot give a more accurate release date than “days away”.'

I'm sure many are anxious to start making money with Agloco.

Agloco Update

Here's my newest update for all of you Agloco junkies out there. I now have two direct referrals. This gives me a total of five members in my total network. Woo hoo! I'm on my way to wealth and riches through the Agloco program.

I really don't expect to get much from this Agloco adventure, because I think I was a little late to the party. Guys like John Chow must have known about this early, or were contacted by Agloco. I guess I should rephrase that. Obviously Mr. Chow knew about this earlier than me, because he started talking about Agloco if you months ago. I only found his blog just recently. It's too bad that I didn't find it earlier or I would've really been screaming up the Agloco charts as a top gun.

So you think Agloco is a scam? Tell that to John Chow. John is a self proclaimed "Internet Dot Com Mogul", who definitely deserves the title. On his blog, John discusses topics ranging from fine dining and investing, to cars and ramblings on technology. So why should you listen to John about what he says regarding Agloco? Here's what he has to say on the subject:

'Before AllAdvantage died with the dot com crash, I signed up over 10,000 people and made over $25,000, so I know the concept does work. Will I be able to make $25,000 from AGLOCO? That remains to be seen but I’m looking forward to trying. This looks like another case study in the making!'
